Raise your hand if you’re over this humidity and thirsting for fall weather to grace you with it’s presence. Now raise your hand if you’re trying to get straight, sleek hair without dealing with those pesky fly aways. Luckily for you, I have found the key to dealing with this humidity: a little product and the ghd platinum electric pink hair straightener.

Achieving straight, sleek hair all starts with the right styling tool. The electric pink styler was designed tone safer on the hair and evenly straights from root to tip. The floating plates allow for natural shine as well as a variety of hair styles to be created (keep your eyes out for a few tutorials!). And my favorite feature – automatic shut off after 30 minutes! We’ve all accidentally left our straightener on and didn’t realize it until hours later, so this is a great perk for a little more piece of mind!

The electric pink is a facelift to the original black styler in collaboration with look good feel better to support the improvement of life and self-esteem of people going through cancer treatment. $5 of every purchase is donated to look good feel better and is still the great straightener that ghd is known for, which helps support these people through their cancer journey. The ghd website features all different hair tutorials, wig styling techniques, and different ways to wrap head scarves!

When it comes to styling, some people say that second day hair styles better, but I say it doesn’t and I say you need to start with fresh, clean hair. I am a long time fan of the Pantene Repair & Protect Shampoo and conditioner. Every couple of washes, I like to apply the Skinfood Argan Oil Silk Hair Mask to refresh my locks and smooth out my split end/baby hairs. After I shower, I towel dry my hair before spritzing heat protectant through my hair and brushing it through.

After a quick blow dry, I plug in my straightener and get to work. Once I finish straightening my hair, I let it cool before applying a small dap of finishing serum. For such a small bottle (1 oz.), the price may seem a little steep but I’ve had this bottle for a year now and I’m not even a quarter of the way through it. Totally worth it!

What are your secrets for achieving straight, sleek hair?
