I have been buying beauty products left and right lately – from hair products (post going up next week about these!) to makeup, and I’m not complaining. Trying out new beauty products is like playing dress up, but you’re pampering yourself in the process. It’s a win-win in my book. What products have you tried lately and loved?
Here are six products I’ve tried and loved:
Usually when you hear CC, someone is talking about CC cream for your face, not your hair. This 10-in-1 cream for your hair is “hair perfector” aka a leave in conditioner. My hair dresser actually uses it in my hair but I’ve never used it on my own time and we all know how our hair always feels different when we do it versus our hair dressers, even when using the same products. I’ve actually had it around my house for a couple months now and it’s *technically* my moms, but I figured I’d give it a go.
Okay, so getting back to the 10-in-1… You’re going to want to apply it to towel-dried hair and style as desired or you can apply it as a finisher to dry hair. I prefer to use it on towel-dried hair because my hair can be very finicky when I use product on dry hair and I just apply it to the tips! I basically feel like a new person after styling my hair with it.
If you asked me 6 months ago if I would ever use an eye cream, I probably would have laughed at you. Then I accidentally bought this eye cream instead of my drying cream (in my defense they’re the same shape and size…) and instead of returning it, I figured I’d give it a go. It’s lightweight, moisturizes the most sensitive area of my skin, and under $20.
The verdict: I love it. I’ve noticed that the fine lines under my eyes are less noticeably, my skin is softer, and my makeup is applying better. I apply it at night after washing my face but will occasionally apply it before I apply my makeup if the weather is causing dry skin.

I’ve tried a bunch of different primers in the past, including the NYX Angel Veil (which I really liked!) but I’ve been *dying* to try the Benefit Cosmetics Face Primer. So guess what I did? I grabbed the travel size version on my last run to Ulta to give it a try and I love it. I mean, it wouldn’t be on this blog post if I didn’t love it….. *rolls eyes*
Anyways, when I use this before I apply my makeup, my big ole pores aren’t as noticeable and my makeup lasts longer throughout the day.
L’Oréal’s True Match Power foundation was the first foundation I ever used when I started to wear makeup in high school. Ah, good old high school. So when I ran out of my go-to blush, I figured I’d give a couple drugstore blushes a try before I re-bought it. I asked for some suggestions on Twitter (thanks ladies!!) so one of the blushes I grabbed was the True Match blush since I loved the powder so much. The great thing about the L’Oréal True Match line is that each shade comes in warm and cool tones so you can find a match that’s perfect for you. It lasts all day, doesn’t irritate my skin, and I will definitely be purchasing it again.
I don’t know how I lived my entire life up to now without this shit. It says “your skin but better” on the label and that’s no lie. I still use concealer to cover up any red spots, dark spots, or acne but this CC+ cream gives me that pretty Snapchat filter look, but in real life. Hollllllaaaaa. The price is a little higher, but it’s 100% well worth it because it does everything it says it’s going to do. I even got my momma hooked on it. Now it’s your turn.

I am the absolute worst person in the world to ever give you tips on filling in your eye brows. Mine are thick, bushy, have random light spots, and are basically wild. And like a majority of women, I prefer to fill in my eyebrows to make my face look like it’s alive. I have tried my fair share of eyebrow pencils, the most recent being the L’Oréal brow stylist pencil, but decided to give the Benefit Costmetics goof proof pencil a try after failing to find my L’Oréal one at 8468164 different stores (& hearing great things about it). And let me tell you – my eye brows have never looked better (and more natural!). The quality is amazing and it’s so easy to use! I use the lightest one (1 light – platinum to light blonde – cool).
