I was never a turtleneck person until recently. For the last couple of winters, I scrolled through my Instagram feed, jealously staring down all of the girls that looked cute in turtlenecks. By themselves, layered, with scarves – they always looked so perfect. So, every time I went into a store, I would try one on and decide it looked awful on me. Last year I finally sucked it up and asked for a turtleneck for Christmas and would force myself to wear it. I recently started to love it so when Anthro got the fireside turtleneck in stock, I knew I just had to have it. That was, until I realized it had a high-low style.
I’m very picky when it comes to my clothing. I won’t buy anything unless I absolutely love it, I prefer solid colors over a pattern, and all in all – I’m pretty boring when it comes to dressing myself. I finally got around to sucking it up and trying it on, and guys…. this is the coziest turtleneck that I’ve ever put on my body. Nevermind the fact that it’s ADORABLE and comes in five colors (and is under $100!).
I plan on never taking this sweater off my body (I’m wearing it as I write this post……) and I even went back and bought it in the black too. My family Thanksgivings are typically pretty casual so I will definitely be wearing this outfit on Turkey Day. These Vince heels are a little on the expensive side (currently 40% off!) but well worth the price. They are so comfy, the perfect height, and come in three colors! Paired together with ripped jeans and a cozy turtleneck, they add the perfect amount of “I got my life together” attitude.
Are you a turtleneck lover or are you totally against them?
