Beauty Buys Under $10

I’m addicted to trying new beauty products from nail polish and make up to face washes, scrubs, and hair products. Half the time I only end up using a small percentage of the products I pick up on my weekly runs to Target on a long-term basis so I try my absolute best not to spend more than $10-$15 on new products. Can you blame me tho? No, because you probably do the same thing, too.

Even though I love trying out new products, these products keep appearing in my bathroom time and time again. They’re all the and under $10, and you can’t beat that.

TRESemmé Heat Tamer // It’s no secret that I am constantly using heat to style my hair. For as long as I can remember, my hair straightener has always been there for me. With all of the hair straightening comes a lot of heat damage so I had to do something about it. One of my hair dressers recommended I use a heat protectant spray on my hair before using any heat products on it (i.e., hair dryer, straightener, curling iron) and after testing out lots of products, the  TRESemmé heat protectant has worked the best on my hair. My hair has improved drastically since incorporating this spray into my hair routine and it smells delicious (in my opinion, at least!).

Revlon Lip Crayon in ‘Sultry’ // There is nothing better than a good lip crayon, except a matte lip crayon. Sultry is the perfect dark berry color and there was a time I basically wore it every. single. day. Since then, I’ve learned that good things come in small packages so I now keep this color specifically for fall and for when I want to be a bad ass and wear all black out while I sip on some adult beverages, because this color if perfect for both of those situations.

John Frieda Hair Spray // I’ve always hated hair spray and refused to use it for the longest time. I think I can thank cheerleading for that. I remember getting ready for competitions and have to use so much hair spray that my hair felt like plastic – it was a nightmare to take care of post-competition win. Now, since I’ve laid off with the hair straightener, I have really taken to the curling iron so I feel like I’m obligated to use hair spray again. This hair spray is seriously perfect for my needs – it doesn’t make my hair feel like plastic, my curls stay in place, and I can still run my fingers through my lion mane.

Bioré Self Heating Face Mask // A newer product that I’ve added to my skin care regimen and I’m already loving it. These charcoal one minute self-heating face masks are the cats pajamas. They leave my skin feeling soft, smooth, and have seriously helped with getting all the nasty shit out of my pours. Bioré recommends using them 2-3 times per week but I’ve been using them once every three to four days.

OPI Nail Polish in ‘Mimosas for Mr. & Mrs.’ // Another newer product to my collection, Mimosas for Mr. & Mrs. is very similar to my favorite OPI nail polish, Bubble Bath, but is a tad bit lighter in color and not as pink. This color is perfect for the spring when you haven’t yet seen the summer sun.

Schick Hydro Silk Razor // This razor is the and leaves my skin feeling silky smooth even when I don’t apply moisturizer post-shower. I’ve always been a huge fan of Schick’s line of women’s razors ever since the pubescent days of first learning how to shave my legs. There is also a disposable Schick Hydro Silk option which are equally as awesome as the regular razor, which is something I look of especially when I’m traveling!

Essie Nail Polish in ‘Forever Yummy’ // This is one of the colors I mention in a recent post, but I love it so much that I just had to mention it again. Forever Yummy is the perfect shade of bad ass red that is guaranteed to get you through anything life throws at you.

Milani Lip Gloss in ‘Ravish Raspberry’ // I received this product in one of my Influenster Vox Box’s a couple months ago and was unsure of it at first simple because I’m not a lip gloss kind of gal. I ain’t got time to get my luscious locks in my lip gloss and I don’t think so either. BUT I decided to give this gorgeous fuchsia color a chance and now I’m proud to say, my lip gloss is poppin’.

Revlon Lip Crayon in ‘Standout’ // There was a time I was looking for the perfect (cheap) red lipstick and I tried a good 2957209274 different brands and shades under $10. They were all either to orange or to pink, and not the perfect color I was looking for. Not to mention, it matches my Essie ‘Forever Yummy’ nail polish almost perfectly.

Clearasil Daily Face Wash // I’ve always had troubles with acne and was forever searching for the right face wash that was truly going to make a difference. Ever since I tried this face wash out about a year or so ago, I’ve never looked back. Even though it’s a little more expensive than the other face wash’s I’ve tried, it’s well worth the $8 price tag. Even after one use I noticed a difference and I can always rely on it to clear up my face quickly.

Neutrogena Night Calming Makeup Remover Wipes // Every gal needs some sort of makeup remover in their life that they rely on like they do their right thumb. Ok, maybe it’s not that serious but it’s very important to remove your makeup before you go to bed (don’t forget to wash your face!). It’s incredible how many girls I know that sleep in their makeup and I will never understand it. Anyways, the entire Neutrogena makeup remover wipe line is off the chain but I have come to realize that my favorite ones are the night calming wipes. They leave my face feeling smooth and even take off waterproof makeup.

Maybelline Volum’ Express Mega Plush Mascara // I don’t usually wear drugstore mascara just because I’m addicted to the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara but when I run out or if someone asks me what my fav drugstore mascara is, I never hesitate to say Maybelline’s Mega Plush Mascara. It gives your lashes so much length and volume, you would think that it was more expensive than $10.

Target has so many AWESOME product options! And nothing is ever out of stock (except maybe nail polish)! You have to try the heat tamer, it’s amazing!

  5. April 4, 2016 / 12:36 PM

I’ll have to try that red lipstick, thanks for the recommendation! My favorite drugstore mascara is Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black, and I also like Biore’s Baking Soda Pore Cleanser – my face feels super clean after using it.

    • April 5, 2016 / 3:38 PM

I’ll have to try the Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black! I’ve heard great things about Biore’s Baking Soda Pore Cleanser too, but all of their products are awesome so I’m not surprised!

  6. April 4, 2016 / 12:37 PM

OMG throwback to how before we were BEST BLOG WIVES you were the one that recommended the TRESemme heat tamer to me. I’ve used it since!! Really want to try the Milani gloss – I’ve heard great things about their blushes, too!

    • April 5, 2016 / 3:37 PM

Me too! The Neutrogena wipes are my lifeline!

  11. April 4, 2016 / 8:37 PM

I am so guilty of not washing my face full of makeup before bed! I need to get the wipes and keep them next to the bed. I love biore strips so I’ll have to throw the mask in my cart next time I’m at the grocery store. They really do get all the gunk out.

    • April 5, 2016 / 3:32 PM

AH GIRL! You gotta get it together yo! I used to not care if I went to bed with makeup on but I recently made it a point to always take it off AND wash my face as well before bed and it’s made SUCH a difference! The face mask is the though, it makes me feel so pampered!

  12. April 4, 2016 / 10:16 PM

I’ve totally fallen in love with Revlon Lip Crayons! I’m so low maintenance and I can’t stand any kind of lipstick that requires precision to put on (and maintain throughout the day). Those lip crayons have been savioooooors.
    xoxo Kelsey
