Happy Wednesday, friends! Today we’re going to be keeping it casual over on these parts and chit chatting! Is it just me or does this week feel like it’s going by at a snail pace? The last two-ish weeks have been slightly hectic, especially after spending the long weekend skiing with friends. I also find it very difficult getting back into “real life” after having a couple days away with friends or family, no matter where we end up. AKA the post vacation blues. Things will be getting back to normal around these parts (& social media) this week, I have a bunch of content planned that I’m super excited about.

If you’ve been stickin’ with me for awhile now, you all know I’m all about dressing practical, casual, and comfy but still looking put together. If you’re new around these parts, well, now you know. I try my best to share outfits with you that I wear on a day-to-day basis. I don’t carry bags that cost me thousands of dollars, I hate spending more than $150 on a pair of shoes, and I sure as heck do not wear ten million bracelets. I picked up this olive shirt from Target back in November, wore it once, and forgot about it.

Flash forward three months and I’ve been reaching for it so frequently that I have to consciously remember to not throw it on and head out the door. I know you’re probably thinking: why would she reach for that to be comfy? It’s a collared shirt. But ladies – this bad boy is the softest button down collared shirt ever. In the grand scheme of things it’s basically a chambray, but olive colored. You know those super soft ones from Target? YUP, that’s how this one feels.

I tend to keep this top casual by paring it with a pair of black flats and fun earrings, but I’m also a fan of multi-functional clothing items, so when I go out for drinks I’ll pair it with a pair of heels (these ones are super cute!) and a moto jacket. I’m also a *huge* fan of these jeans and have been wearing them for years. The price is wallet-friendly, they wear well, and the mid-rise is the best. If you’re in the market for a new pair, I definitely suggest them!

What is your favorite casual outfit?

First of all, tell me about it when it comes to spending a few days away and coming back to the whole routine. Not that I don´t love my routine, it is just that you know, time to adjust to it all. That aside, hello ski weekend! I also had one early last month and I can´t wait to go back. Even though it might not be until next seasons due to timing.
And talking about being comfy, yes, yes and yes. I totally agree. One can be comfy, still feet cute and be oneself! Go girl!

UGH it’s the worst, isn’t it?! But ski weekends are good in my book. I’m heading back up north in a couple of weeks to get one last trip in and I’m SO excited.

To be honest, this outfit reminds me of things I wear every day too – jeans and a comfy collared shirt! I appreciate that you share your “real” outfits and not just the “curated” outfits :]

Getting back to real life after a few days off is always hard. Like you I love pieces that are versatile in my closet and keep my shoe budget low as well. I will stalk a pair of shoes till it goes on sale.

I’m weird about spending money on shoes and clothes, I try to get things when they’re on sale! But, I can always justify spending money on a purse because I don’t buy them very often!

I’m really liking that shirt, as well as the colour of it! I can never master the art of looking casual but ‘cool’ like you have. It seems I’m not gifted in that department. I also love how you’ve added a few accessories to spice it up. Such a cute combo!

Oh my gosh girl! I have faith in you. You just gotta grab a cute top at Target, pair it with some cute flats, and pop on a fun pair of earrings!
