Sneakers for Every Type of Girl

I have recently developed a serious sneaker addiction, but can you blame me? There have been so many cute pairs out lately – from running sneakers, to slip ons and casual sneakers, it’s hard to pick just one to incorporate into your wardrobe.

Sneakers for Every Type of Girl

Tip one: Decide what you need the sneaker for (running errands? after work support? exercise?) before you start shopping

Whether you’re interested in finding a sneaker to wear to workout in, to wear casually while running errands, with your favorite sun dress, or just a multi-functional, wear everywhere sneaker, I promise you there is a sneaker out there for you. I recently added a pair of slip-on sneakers to my collection and honestly, I’ve never put my feet in a shoe so comfortable (and cute!) before. I seriously have no idea why I waited so long to get on the slip-on trend, they’re the best. I usually wear my Sperry slip-ons with either cut off shorts (doesn’t look trashy, I promise!) which is perfect when its hot out but I’m not in the mood to wear sandals, or just with a pair of jeans cuffed once and a simple tee.

In addition to my slip-ons, I’ve been wearing my New Balance sneakers a lot, which are also extremely comfortable. New Balance sneakers have been around forever and I also recently added  these ones to my collection, the color choices are just too cute to pass up. These snake skin ones are definitely on my “to-buy” list for the fall, so cute and under $100!
Tip Two: Decide on a budget so you don’t get overwhelmed while shopping

Other sneakers to consider are a classic running sneaker that you can wear running and also pair with jeans if you want, or you could go with a pair of converse which will last you forever and are at a great price point. My grey converse had definitely seen better days but I’ve had them for five years so I’m not complaining!
Tip Three: Ask your friends what sneakers they recommend

I always go to my friend for recommendations on sneakers. A lot of my peers are actually serious athletes so it’s always nice to get their input.

I’ve been really into sneakers ever since I got a couple pairs over Christmas break! I got one pair for running/working out and one specifically for running errands and going to class. I’m dying for some New balances. Great roundup as always, Rach!
