Summer Haul

I’m all about trying new things on the blog lately and since I’ve been doing a lot of summer shopping to update my closet and get ready to jet off to Texas next week to visit home girl, I figured this was the perfect time to do a haul post. Originally I really wanted to give YouTube and vlogging a try, but I come to the realization that I was not ready for that. I honestly was like ok, I’m going to stutter, the lighting is going to be terrible, and I just can’t. Instead I gave a little sneak peek of the items I purchased to my Snapchat friends, which was super fun. But today I’m going to talk a little more in-depth about each item and link them in case you want to shop them, too!

Summer HaulSummer Haul

Converse Chuck Taylor ‘Shoreline’ Sneaker: I’m a huge Converse sneaker lover and have been eyeing these bad boys for a couple months now, so when I got a gift card for my birthday I knew exactly what I was going to buy. Slip on sneakers are my jam and I’m absolutely loving these crisp white ones. I highly suggest adding these to your closet, but they’re a little tighter than the classic converse so if you’re a half size, I definitely recommend sizing up.

AEO Soft & Sexy V-Neck Tee: I bought one of these t-shirts a couple months ago on an outlet store run with mum but I loved it so much that I had to grab another one. I sized up (purchased a size medium!) so that I could wear it looser and off the shoulder with a cute bralette. I totally recommend purchasing this tee, it’s the softest and comfiest t-shirt I own.

Forever 21 Pink Cami: This peplum style, loose, fun cami (I would consider it a tank, but whatevs) is the cutest. Feminine and casual it can be worn with anything and I plan on adventuring in it a lot this summer. Fits true to size!

Mossimo Supply Co. Quarter Strap Sandals: Run, don’t walk, to your closest Target and #treatyoself. I found these in the sale section for $17 (not on sale online!) and they give me 70s vibes and I love it. They’re light weight, easy to walk in, and dare I say comfy?! I’ve paired them with my light pink tank and dark denim for drinks with mom but I can’t wait to wear them with my swing dress since I’m totally embracing the 70s right now.Forever 21 Cami, J. Crew Denim, Target Sandals

AEO Soft & Sexy Drapey Tank: The soft & sexy line from American Eagle is one of my favorites, so when I was doing some shopping for Texas I decided to stop into my local American Eagle in hopes that they had some sort of tank part of their soft & sexy line. Thankfully, they had so many options and I settled for the drapes tank for more shoulder protection from the sun and I loved the high neck line. I plan on wearing this super adorable tank with my new high rise shorts and converse all summer long.

Urban Outfitters Lace Halter Bralette: One word: obsessed. The price of these lace halter bralette’s can’t be beat and there are so many adorable colors to pick from. The only tip I have for you is to try them on before you buy them! I have a couple bralette’s from American Eagle in which I opted for a large (a little big around my rib area) so when I ordered this bralette (bought the black and navy) I figured a size medium would fit perfectly. Although it fits well, I definitely wish I exchanged it for a small but you live and you learn, right?

Lush Print Short Sleeve Swing Dress: I don’t have enough words to express how much I love this dress. It definitely has a 70s vibe to it, which I’m totally digging and although the print is a little out there, I bought this dress to wear to my college graduation. Best decision ever. It was so playful and fun and after the ceremony I switched out my heels for a pair of flats with my leather jacket, which was super fun. This dress can easily be dressed up or dressed down any occasion (and it comes in a couple other super cute prints and colors!).

AEO Hi-Rise Shortie: Ya’ll (still practicing for Texas, duh) I found these shorts at Marshalls for $12.99!!! Finding good jean shorts is probably one of the biggest struggles as a girl amirite?? So I was super excited when I stumbled upon these lovely ladies. I do suggest trying them on before buying/ordering them though, the high waist can make a huge difference in your sizing!

Forever 21 Knit Mini Dress: This dress is the cats pajamas and is under $10 (!!!!). I scooped up the olive color to wear with my converse on the plane to Texas (hollllllerrrrr) and hope to include the other colors in my wardrobe ASAP because they’re so cute and you can’t beat the price (the pink and grey? GIMME!).

Since I recently moved home from college, I took the opportunity to clean out and organize my closet so I donate a boat load of stuff. Which I then took as an opportunity to revamp my wardrobe and I’m so excited. There were a couple of things I also found at TJMaxx and the Kate Spade outlet store that I couldn’t link, so I guess you’ll have to check those items out on Instagram *shoulder shrug* (do I put in my period after ‘Instagram’ or the shoulder shrug or after the parentheses??? THE STRUGGLE).

What has your favorite recent purchase been?

Cute outfits! I really want to get this Converse but I am so worried about wearing white sneakers. But it’s so versatile, I think I might’ve to just go for it!

I was a little worried about it as well, just because I have white high tops and they got dirty quick but I saw you can use a magic eraser (the kitchen ones!) on them! So I’ll definitely be giving that a try if they get too dirty!
