The weather has been so weird lately – one minute it’s sunny and warm, and the next minute it’s cold and rainy. I’m glad we’re seeing signs of spring, but I never know what the heck to wear when the weather is all over the place. Do I dress for fall? Winter? Spring? After a lot of handwork, I finally have my transition month uniform down pat.

Having a great pair of denim is super important well, all the time, but especially during the transition months! You can easily pair a pair of jeans with any type of shoe, and add a quick roll on the warmer days. From white denim, to dark denim, or even a pair of black skinny jeans, you’ll be ready for whatever weather comes your way!

Motto Jacket
My leather motto jacket has been my actual jam lately. I’m constantly looking for new ways to wear it whether that be with an all black outfit or paired with a feminine blouse. Motto jackets come in all shapes, sizes, materials, and are available at all price points, so it’s easy to find the perfect one that fits your style and budget. My favorite way to wear a fitted motto jacket is with a loser top for a casual look!

Chic Flats
During these transition months I never know what to wear for shoes, like, ever. I’m not really ready to start wearing sandals and flip flops just yet (I will wear anything heeled, though!) and it’s too warm for boots. My usual go-to is sneakers but since sometimes I need to be a little more put together, I typically opt for a cute pair of flats. There are seriously so many options out there and they are perfect for any occasion!

Loose Fitting Tees
I’m a huge sucker for a loose fitting tee just because it gives me a little extra space for my food baby. Seriously though, all I want to do when it’s cold is cuddle up, watching movies, drink wine, and eat an endless amount of snacks. Plus, they’re perfect for the warmer days and look perfect with a pair of jeans and a cute pair of flats!

Oversized Blouses
Oversized blouses are the best because, like loose fitting t-shirts, give you a little extra space, they look chic with just about anything, and are great for layering when it’s chilly out! You can easily transition them into the summer months with a cute pair of cut offs and your favorite wedges for a night on the town with your gals or with skinny jeans and a scrappy sandal for a more polished look.

What is your transition month uniform? Do you have any pieces that are absolutely essential to get you through the crazy weather?

Great post Rach!! I have a bunch of leightweight blouses that I wear year round. I try to get nuetral colors and I’ll layer them when it’s cold or where them with shorts and sandals when it’s warm! Love your picks!

So glad someone else relates to the shoe dilemma! But ballet flats are my go-to this time of year too! Love all these suggestions!

It’s a border-line crisis! I’m like no, I don’t want to show you my feet, but no my boots are too warm!
